Ms. Judith is a longtime member of the facilities team at UA.
Q: How did you decide on your career, and what do you enjoy most about it?
A: Actually, to be honest, I didn’t decide. I was at another job, and someone came up to me and asked me if I wanted to work at UA with them. What I enjoy most is seeing students graduate and the second generation starting here.
Q: What’s your favorite thing about UA?
A: I like the all-inclusive aspect, basically having everything for the kids to be successful.
Q: What is a good memory from your time at UA?
A: I have a few! My favorite memory is when the kids are accomplishing things, like the first young lady who went to state in wrestling, kids getting into top colleges, things like that when students are excelling and reaching their goals.
Q: What do you enjoy about working with your team?
A: It’s great! We are all there and we help each other out with all the requests and work orders, and everybody pitches in to make sure it is successful.
Q: What do you like to do with your family?
A: Cook and travel. We cook international meals.
Q: What’s been the most exciting thing you’ve done this year?
A: Learning to hunt deer using a bow and arrow. I’m trying to step out of my lane.
Q: Where’s the best place you’ve traveled to, and what made it special?
A: There are a quite a few—however, New Orleans. It has a lot you can enjoy and learn about.
Q: Do you have any hobbies or interests you’ve picked up recently outside of UA?
A: Ziplining. We were on a trip to Las Vegas, and they told me to get out of my little shelter and try something. And it was okay! Since then, I’ve done that some other places, but that was my first time.
Q: What is your favorite restaurant in Kansas City?
A: I have a few. Red Snapper and Red Lobster are my main two. When it comes to seafood, I step out of the lane more than I do with most things.
